On 16 April 2026, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, S.Sh. Kurmangaliev, and pensioners of the Almaly District.
In his address, he informed participants about the current measures of state social support and explained changes and amendments in the field of social security for older citizens. Particular attention was paid to pension provision, benefits, and social assistance.
M.N. Akhmetova, Deputy Head of the Department of Employment and Social Programs of the Akimat of the Almaly District, took part in the event. In total, 42 participants were present.
A welcoming address was delivered by the Chairman of the Almaly District Council of Veterans, B.M. Kabylov, who spoke about the ongoing work to support veterans of the district. During the meeting, participants asked questions concerning the work of the social home: living conditions, the organization of activities at the Active Longevity Center, and the number and types of services provided by the center's specialists. Exhaustive answers were given to all questions of interest.
The event was held as an open and constructive dialogue. Participants shared proposals and expressed opinions on current social issues, which made it possible to discuss the topics of concern comprehensively.
At the end of the meeting, participants were given informational materials and commemorative notebooks, and detailed explanations were provided in response to all questions received.
