On 6 May 2026, a meeting of veterans with young people dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at Secondary School No. 74 in the Turksib district of Almaty. The event took place with the active participation of the public commission of the Council of Veterans, the school's teaching staff and its students.
The program of the meeting was rich and substantive. Documentary films about the heroic pages of the Great Patriotic War were screened for the participants, and themed poems and patriotic songs were performed by the schoolchildren. Particular interest was aroused by a tour of the school museum of military and labor glory, which displays exhibits reflecting the people's heroic feat during the war years.
During the event, representatives of the older generation, school leaders and students spoke about the significance of the Great Victory, the courage and unity of the multinational people who defeated fascism, and the importance of preserving historical memory and fostering patriotism in young people.
Particular attention was paid to the role of the younger generation in the development and future of the country, the continuity of generations, and the preservation of spiritual and moral values.
