On 13 May 2026, on the eve of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a meeting of veterans with young people on the theme “Batyrlar Rukhy – Beibit Omir Tiregi” — “The Spirit of Heroes Is the Mainstay of Peaceful Life” was held at Secondary School No. 102 in the Zhetysu district of Almaty.
The event was attended by B.A. Almukhambetov, Chairman of the city commission on the moral and patriotic education of young people, professor and Doctor of Sciences; students and school administrators; and Vasily Ivanovich Dolbnya, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. More than 110 people took part in total.
The main aim of the meeting was the military-patriotic education of young people and fostering respect for historical memory and the continuity of generations. The participants' speeches were aimed at strengthening patriotic awareness and preserving the memory of the people's heroic feat during the Great Patriotic War.
The guests shared memories of the war years and emphasized the importance of courage, unity and selflessness. Particular attention was paid to the value of peaceful life, respect for veterans, and preserving the historical truth about the heroic feat of the defenders of the Fatherland.
The meeting took place in a warm, meaningful and patriotic atmosphere and aroused lively interest among the school's students.
