On 26 June 2026, a meeting of the Presidium of the Medeu District Council of Veterans was held, attended by members of the Presidium and heads of standing commissions and of the okrug-level and primary veterans' organizations of the district.
The participants focused on the results of the Council of Veterans' activities for January–June 2026. During the discussion, the work done was analyzed, the initiatives implemented were reviewed, and the areas requiring further attention were identified.
A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the activities of the standing commissions and the okrug-level and primary veterans' organizations. Participants shared practical experience, spoke about the events held, and identified issues that remain under the constant oversight of the veterans' activists.
An important part of the meeting was determining the main tasks for the second half of 2026. It was noted that the work of veterans' organizations should remain focused on the real needs of members of the older generation, the development of public engagement, and the strengthening of the bond between generations.
The participants also stressed the importance of local initiative, since it is the primary and okrug-level veterans' organizations that work directly with residents and make a substantial contribution to the public life of the district.
At the end of the meeting, the next steps and priorities of the Medeu District Council of Veterans for the coming period were determined.
