On 14 August in Almaty, representatives of the national election campaign headquarters of the “Adilet” party met with the veterans' activists of the city Council of Veterans.
The participants discussed the upcoming elections to the Kurultai on 23 August, as well as the main provisions of the “Adilet” party's election program.
The gathering was addressed by candidates for deputies of the Kurultai B. Nurmukhamedov, K. Zhamankulova, Zh. Ashimzhanov and A. Kobeyeva. They presented the party's main priorities and answered the participants' questions.
During the exchange of views, representatives of the Council of Veterans — A.Kh. Bizhanov, M.T. Karkenov, T.M. Shakirova, M.M. Abdushkurov and S.U. Taubaldy — made their proposals and raised issues that, in their opinion, are important for the further development of the country.
An article by A.Kh. Bizhanov, Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, professor and Doctor of Political Sciences, “Social Justice in the Context of Ongoing Reforms” (“Reformalar kontekstindegi aleumettik adilettik”), has been published in the journal “AQIQAT” (No. 7 for 2026, pp. 34–40). The publication examines topical issues of social justice amid the reforms being carried out in the country, and the role of civil society and the veterans' movement in implementing state social policy.
