On 22 January 2026, an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the Almaty City Council of Veterans was held.
Three items on the agenda were considered at the meeting:
1. On the work of the V National Kurultai held in the city of Kyzylorda, and on the interview of the Head of State K.K. Tokayev with the newspaper “Turkistan” under the headline “Kazakhstan Has Entered a New Stage of Modernization” (information from the Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans A.Kh. Bizhanov).
2. On the tasks of the city and district councils of veterans in implementing the set of measures to provide assistance to veterans in 2026 (information from the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans S.Sh. Kurmangaliev).
3. On the work of the Nauryzbay District Council of Veterans on the medical care of pensioners of the district (information from the Chairman of the Nauryzbay District Council of Veterans M.T. Karkenov).
On the items considered at the meeting of the Presidium, a decision was made on the active participation of the veterans' community in the work to implement the provisions and conclusions of the Kurultai, and to carry out the corresponding explanatory and promotional work through the mass media and social networks. The expanded meeting of the Presidium took place in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere.
