On 19 February 2026, the Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans A.Kh. Bizhanov held a meeting with pensioners of the Zhetysu District. The main purpose of the event was to familiarize the participants with the existing forms of state social support and to discuss current issues of social security for the district's older citizens.
The meeting was attended by M.S. Koylybaev, Head of the Department of Employment and Social Programs, and A.E. Zatybekova, Chief Specialist of the Public Development Department.
As part of the event, K. Ualikeev, a member of the city Council of Veterans and a home front worker, was honored on his 90th birthday.
The participants of the meeting were given informational materials and commemorative notebooks. During the open dialogue, current questions were raised, to which explanations and consultations were provided.
