On 24 February 2026, a meeting was held between A. Kh. Bizhanov, Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, and pensioners of the Almaly District. During the event, the participants were given information on the current measures of state social support, and changes and amendments in the area of social security for older citizens were explained. Particular attention was paid to pension provision, the granting of benefits and social assistance.
The meeting was attended by B. M. Kabylov, Chairman of the Almaly District Council of Veterans; S. Sh. Akhmedov, Chairman of the organizational and methodological commission; and representatives of the Akimat.
The meeting took the form of an open and constructive dialogue, in a businesslike and friendly atmosphere. The participants actively asked questions, shared their proposals and expressed their views on topical social issues. The discussion was engaged and substantive, which made it possible to consider in detail the topics of concern to pensioners.
The participants were given information materials and commemorative notebooks. Comprehensive explanations were given in response to the questions raised.
