On 13 March 2026, a meeting with young people was held at Lyceum No. 169 on the initiative of the Alatau District Council of Veterans. The main aim of the event was the patriotic education of the younger generation, the passing on of the older generation’s life experience and fostering young people’s love for the Motherland.
The meeting was attended by B. A. Almukhambetov, member of the Almaty City Council of Veterans and Chairman of the city commission on youth affairs; S. U. Taubaldy, Chairman of the Alatau District Council of Veterans; S. Ashirbekov, Chairman of the district commission on youth affairs; and K. N. Akhman, Deputy Chairman of the Alatau District Council of Veterans.
The meeting was attended by 120 students of the lyceum, who listened with great interest to the life stories and public work of the veterans. The guests shared with the young people their thoughts on the country’s history, service to the Motherland, respect for the older generation and the importance of education, and also spoke about their own life experience.
During the meeting, the students asked a variety of questions, to which the veterans gave substantive answers. It was noted that such meetings help to strengthen the patriotic spirit of young people and the continuity of generations.
The event took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere, and the students expressed their sincere gratitude to the veterans.
