On 30 March 2026, a meeting was held between S. Sh. Kurmangaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, and pensioners of the “Kamkor” social home. During the conversation, he presented information on the current measures of social support and explained changes in the social security system for older citizens, paying attention to the granting of benefits and the provision of targeted assistance.
The event was attended by Zh. S. Sadenov, Chairman of the Bostandyk District Council of Veterans; members of the presidium; and T. M. Tumanshiyev, director of the “Kamkor” social home. Special emphasis was placed on developing effective cooperation between the district Council of Veterans and the district administration. In total, 20 people were present.
The discussion took place in a constructive atmosphere: the participants exchanged views, made proposals and identified a number of pressing problems, receiving detailed answers and recommendations.
At the end of the meeting, key conclusions were formulated, and the need for further strengthening of cooperation in the area of social support for older people was confirmed.
