On 20 May 2026, a meeting of A.Kh. Bizhanov, Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, with veterans and pensioners of the district was held in the meeting hall of the Akimat of the Alatau district of Almaty.
The main topic of the event was the state social support measures currently in effect and the social security of older citizens.
During the meeting, participants were given information on the procedure for providing social payments, changes in the amounts of pensions and benefits, and state initiatives aimed at raising the level of social protection for veterans.
A.E. Tusupbekova, head of the employment and social programs department, took part in the discussion. The participants were able to receive detailed consultations on the questions that interested them. A total of 40 people took part in the event.
At the end of the event, informational materials and commemorative notebooks were handed out to the veterans. All citizens who raised questions were given the necessary explanations and recommendations.
