On 21 May 2026, at the Active Longevity Centre of the Alatau District of Almaty, S. Sh. Kurmangaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, held a meeting with veterans and pensioners of the district.
The topic of the meeting was: “Familiarization with the current measures of state social support, and discussion of topical issues of social security”.
During the event, explanatory work was carried out on issues of social support for pensioners, changes in the amounts of pensions and allowances, and the implementation of state programmes aimed at supporting veterans and older citizens. The meeting was also attended by E. T. Taybosynova, head of the social protection department.
The total number of participants was 32.
During the meeting, the veterans actively asked the questions of interest to them and received comprehensive answers and the necessary explanations.
At the end of the event, the participants were given information materials, commemorative notebooks and stationery. All the questions received were considered, and appropriate explanations and recommendations were given.
