On 17 June 2026, a meeting between A. Kh. Bizhanov, Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans, and pensioners of the Auezov District was held at the D. Kunayev Law College.
During the event, the participants were given information on the current measures of social support for the population, as well as on changes in the area of social security for citizens of pension age. Particular attention was paid to the granting of benefits and social services.
The discussion was attended by B. S. Ibrayeva, Chairwoman of the Auezov District Council of Veterans; members of the presidium of the district Council of Veterans; R. Ch. Bulekbayeva, director of the D. Kunayev Law College; K. O. Khassenov, director of the Active Longevity Centre; and G. Seitimbetova, head of the social assistance unit of the Auezov District.
During the dialogue, there was an exchange of views on topical issues of social support for pensioners. The participants put forward proposals and asked questions of interest, to which appropriate explanations were given.
At the end of the event, the importance of further cooperation among state bodies, public organizations and representatives of the older generation in addressing social support issues was noted.
