On 19 March 2026, the XIII reporting and election conference of the Almaly District Council of Veterans was held.
The event was attended by S.Sh. Kurmangaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans; Ye.O. Kaldarbekov, Deputy Akim of the Almaly district; the activists of the district Council of Veterans, chairmen of standing commissions, and honorary citizens of the district. There were 72 participants in all.
The report was delivered by B.M. Kabylov, Chairman of the district Council of Veterans. He summed up the results of work for 2021–2025, noting the activities of the commissions and the contribution of primary veterans' organizations. Particular attention was paid to the role of the older generation in educating young people and strengthening the bond between generations.
The speech also highlighted the work of active longevity centers, which help organize leisure for pensioners and promote their active participation in public life. In addition, the need to further improve the quality of medical and social care for older citizens was noted.
The conference included elections of the leadership. B.M. Kabylov was re-elected Chairman of the district Council of Veterans. S.Sh. Akhmedov became his deputy, and G.G. Abdukarimova became executive secretary.
The participants also elected delegates to the upcoming city conference.
In conclusion, S.Sh. Kurmangaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the city Council of Veterans, congratulated the new members and wished them success in their work.
The event ended with a festive concert.
The Almaly District Council of Veterans will continue its active participation in public life, its work to support the older generation, and the preservation of national values.
